What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than a leisurely skate for a good cause? On March 18, Engel & Völkers Ottawa did just that, inviting friends and clients to take the ice at Tom Brown Arena in support of our partner, Special Olympics Ottawa.

Several community members joined us for the event, including young families who were able to take advantage of the ice time and free hot chocolate.
"We were so excited to host this event to support the local Special Olympics chapter," said John King, Broker of Record for Engel & Völkers Ottawa. "Special Olympics does incredible work in the Greater Ottawa community, and it was great to have their representatives and athletes join us for our skate."
We were joined by representatives and athletes from the local chapter of Special Olympics.
Donations were collected to support the Greater Ottawa chapter of Special Olympics, who have over 1000 athletes and volunteers participating in community sports programs.
"We are so proud of our partnership with Engel & Völkers Ottawa and so grateful for all of their support," said Jason Hussak, Community Developer for Special Olympics Ontario. "The skating event was a great event, one that our athletes and coaches really enjoyed. We also really appreciate the idea to talk about some of our programs and events to everyone in attendance, and can’t wait to partner with Engel & Völkers Ottawa on more events in the future."
Special Olympics is a volunteer-driven organization. Athletes can participate from 8 years of age and have the opportunity to train in 15 core sports offered in the Greater Ottawa Area.
